The PetDB has been taken offline due to recently identified critical security vulnerabilities affecting PHP. The PetDB currently operates on PHP 5, which is no longer supported and for which no security patches are available.
Restoring the service will require significant maintenance and modernization efforts. Unfortunately, funding for this work is not currently available, and we are unable to provide a timeline for restoring access. The PetDB may remain unavailable until resources can be secured to address these issues.
We have new PetDB 2.0 build on a modern platform, which is currently available at PetDB 2.0. We encourage users to transition to this new platform for their research needs.
